I always find my PlaytestCloud emails too late - how can I ensure I'm getting notified?

It’s great that you're checking in about this, and you want to get more involved in playtesting!

We’ll always send out emails when we have a screener survey or a playtest invite ready for you, and there are some ways to make sure that you are alerted to these emails straight away:

  • Check that your email alerts are set up. This may sound obvious, but you may have turned on the “do not disturb” setting and forgotten about it!
  • Ensure that our emails aren’t going into your spam folder.
  • Make sure that our emails are being sent to your primary inbox rather than being filtered aside to a less important inbox.

Further info about emails going to another inbox (for example, Promotions in Gmail)

The categorization of emails into different folders such as 'Promotions' is typically managed by your email service provider's filtering system. If this is a new thing for you, it's possible that recent updates to their algorithms are categorizing our emails differently than before.

To ensure that our emails arrive in your general inbox, you can try marking one of our emails as 'Not a Promotion' or moving it to your primary inbox. This can usually be done on PC by dragging the email to the desired tab or folder, or by selecting that option on a mobile device. Additionally, adding help@playtestcloud.com to your contacts list can help prevent our emails from being filtered into the promotions folder.
