When will I get a new playtest?
The amount of invites you get depends on your location, as some developers target certain countries over others.
When we arrange a playtest, we randomly select playtesters who fit the test's target demographics. Because of that, it’s tough to predict when you’ll get a new playtest invitation.
How PlaytestCloud selects playtesters for tests
The amount of playtests you can receive depends on your location, age, gender, and/or your game preferences. We've made a video about the process!
Here's an example of a game devs' target requirements when they run a playtest with us:
Female players, from 20-29 years old who like to play puzzle games, and own an Android device.
Male players from North America, from 16-100 years old who have never played *specific game*.
Therefore, it's a good idea to keep your profile updated!
Keep it updated with any changes such as your mobile phone model and games you're currently playing/not playing.
When updating your profile, make sure to only add games to your profile that you have played extensively. Developers often want playtesters who are experiencing their product for the first time. If you list games that you haven't played a lot, you might be excluding yourself from playtests you are relevant for.
Some playtests might be sent to you at unusual times...
... and that's because most of our playtests are sent automatically to testers in many different timezones. Our clients - the developers - are also based around the world.
We completely understand if you're not able to take part in every playtest, so it's not a problem if you miss one!
We receive new playtests regularly so hopefully you'll have the opportunity to take part in another one soon!
Important note: If you are unable to join a scheduled interview, make sure that you cancel it through the "Can't make it?" link in the invitation email
Like gaming on PC too? We'll be introducing PC playtests later this year! To get prepared for those, you can now add Windows PC's to your profile!
