All about BYO playtests

Why are there BYO playtests? 

BYO (bring your own) playtests are when a game developer wants to bring their own players and fans into a playtest. This means that if you are part of this playtest you will ultimately work with the game developer who brought you onboard.

What is PlaytestCloud’s part in these tests? 

PlaytestCloud will help facilitate the playtest, using our software. This means you the tester will be prompted to use PlaytestCloud to complete the playtest.

When to contact us and when to contact the game developer.

When there is an issue with the game or recording software during the playtest, please contact the PlaytestCloud community team at help@playtestcloud.com. When you have more specific questions about the game itself or any rewards for the playtest, please contact the game developer you are working with.

Where to find the game developer's info

If you are not already in contact with the game developer, we'll let you know their details both in the invitation email we send and in the email following your completion of the playtest.
