Ensuring you gain a spot in a playtest

Once you've been invited to a regular playtest (i.e. not an interview), the only way to ensure that you have a spot is to begin the test by accessing the game/test content.

Just having the game installed on your device or just agreeing to the NDA is not enough to ensure that you'll be able to continue.

Why?

If a tester installs the game, it doesn't mean that they will then have availability to take part at a later point. We therefore cannot put all of our trust in them returning.

Unplanned things can come up for those testers, and so we only count a tester as taking part once they begin to play.

This is a better indicator of the progress of the playtest, and enable us to send recordings to the developer in good time.
