I have additional needs (for example, a hearing or sight impairment). Can I be a tester?
Thank you so much for enquiring about this! We'll give you some background on how playtesting works with us so that you can decide if you'd like to join us:
At the moment, all of our playtesters are required to talk while they play and to wear headphones. This is because...
- ...without headphones, the game's sound can interrupt the feedback that testers give us.
- ... the tester commentary is what our clients like and expect from our service - thoughts and opinions delivered in real-time, including comments on the game's music and sound effects.
If this makes PlaytestCloud unusable for you, we apologise and we understand if you do not wish to get involved as a tester. We are, however, always working on improving the accessibility of our app so things may change in the future.
Alternative testing companies
In the meantime, you might like to check out the AbleGamers website. They are a similar company that is currently better equipped to work with testers who have specific needs.
If you have any other questions about this or anything else, please feel free to ask us at help@playtestcloud.com and we'll gladly help you out.
