Does the recording stop automatically after recording for the required time?

No, you will need to stop the recording yourself in all playtests.

Alongside the recording time requirement, many of our playtests contain tasks that need to be completed while recording. We therefore need our testers to stop the recording when they feel that all the tasks have been completed.

When completing a playtest, you must make sure that both the time requirement and any included tasks have been completed.

To end the recording, return to the PlaytestCloud: Be a Playtester app and tap the recording button, as shown here:

iOS note:

In the case of iOS devices, you can also stop the recording from the control center (swiping down the screen from the top), but be mindful that you can't re start the recording from there. You still have to manually re start it from the PlaytestCloud app.

Don't forget:

When recording, you're recording your whole screen and therefore any notifications you receive, so it's a good idea to turn on Do Not Disturb. If something comes up and you need to leave the playtest for a short time, that's fine! You can return to it by reopening the app.
