How to: Finish your recording and upload
When you have finished your playtest, you will need to manually end the recording in the PlaytestCloud app.
In the case of iOS devices, you can also stop the recording from the control center (swiping down the screen from the top), but be mindful that you can't restart the recording from there. You still have to manually restart it from the PlaytestCloud app.
If you are required to complete a survey, we will then send you an email to confirm when we have received the full upload of your recording, along with the link to the survey. Top tip: Surveys can be completed on a PC or laptop, even if they're part of a mobile playtest!
How uploading works
The recording will upload automatically in the background while you play as long as you're connected to strong wifi.
The upload will finalize when you have stopped recording your test. The app will indicate which steps of the playtest you've completed. If your recording was not long enough we will also send an email to let you know.
Upload not progressing when testing using the app?
If your upload has halted or is progressing very slowly, please reopen the PlaytestCloud app. Keeping it open will encourage the upload. Please do not record any more gameplay as this will make the upload take longer.
Finished your playtest, but still no confirmation email?
If you don’t receive this email you can check your upload progress by re-opening the PlaytestCloud app on your device or checking the notification bar. If there are recording segments that still need to be uploaded they will continue uploading as long as you're connected to strong wifi.
If you have installed this test game, do not delete it until you have received the confirmation email that your full, completed playtest has been received.
