Basics about our playtesting app

Our tester app is called PlaytestCloud: Be a Playtester. This has been in use since November 8th 2023 and can be found in the App Store and Google Play Store. If you are invited to a playtest but do not yet have the app, you will be provided with a link to install it.

How to connect to the app:

The app will not require a password. Instead, on installing it and entering the email address you use at PlaytestCloud, you will receive an email which provides you with a code to enter into the app. The app will then be linked to your email address and therefore your PlaytestCloud profile.

iOS users:

• You will need to use iOS version 15 and above.
• You will also need to install the TestFlight app, as this is where you will find links to download and test unreleased games. You will be told in the playtest invite if the test will be using the TestFlight app. 

All playtesters - Don't forget:

When recording, you will allow the app to record your whole screen and therefore any notifications you receive, so it's a good idea to turn on Do Not Disturb. If you need to leave the playtest for a short time, that's fine! You can return to it by reopening the app.
